Questions with the Head of School

Rather than publishing a lengthy Strength to Strength document this year, I am going to experiment with publishing a series of shorter epistles, or letters, to the community, which are designed to share what we are doing, but in the context of questions that are frequently asked of our teachers and/or school administrators. I recently read a book called Reader, Come Home which was written in this style of a series of letters to the reader which I found quite compelling, and more enjoyable to read than some of our more traditional methods of sharing our thinking and information. The Frequently Asked Questions upon which I will base these missives have been gleaned from conversations with many parents, students, teachers, and my fellow administrators over the last year. Through this series of letters, I hope to communicate the core philosophies that inform our work, as well as the ongoing evolution of the teaching and learning environment here at Wooster School.
