Special Projects

Just one example of your gifts allowing Wooster faculty and staff to put good to work is the Go Baby Go initiative piloted in the 9th grade. In partnership with local health and human services agencies, Wooster students working in the Makerspace modified toy cars for children with developmental and physical disabilities. Truly a perspective changing experience for students and teachers alike, this endeavor had a direct and lasting impact on the lives of seven local families.

Thank you to the Wooster families and friends for their contributions to this year’s Go Baby Go project.

Go Baby Go is one example of how Wooster’s students and faculty are putting their class work to an even greater use. As we move into our second year supporting Go Baby Go, the Makerspace will continue to be the hub of activities designed to create valuable learning and make meaningful change. It is a jewel in Wooster’s academic crown and we are grateful to John '84 and Bonnie Edelman for their generous gift in 2014 to design and develop this innovative space. Their gift launched something special and initiated other gifts of equipment, supplies, and tools. Thank you to the Wooster families and corporate partners for their contributions to making at Wooster, your generosity is impacting our students and our community in amazing ways.
