GLax on the way to Sheehan High School on Monday

Spring has sprung and that means that lacrosse season is here! Monday was the first girls lacrosse tournament of the year. Each game was 25 minutes long, running time. We played at Sheehan High school in Wallingford CT. The first scrimmage we played was against North Branford. They were a team who had been practicing for about a month, while we were on spring break. We played well against them and though we lost, it was a good way to get back into playing in games.

The second game was against Sheehan. Sheehan High School was a very strong team who like North Branford, had been practicing while we were on spring break. We scored a couple of points but we also lost.

The third team we played was Litchfield and we won by one goal. Our defense was strong and so was our offense, with goals being scored by Bailey Fleming, Alice Purkiss, and Nicole Caraballo. The tournament really helped the team get back into playing in a game atmosphere and was a learning experience.

This Saturday, we have a scrimmage against Greens Farms, which is a team who isn't in our league. Though they aren't in our league, we are all very excited to play and begin to develop and grow as a team.
