There's a club at Wooster that has gotten more and more popular over time, and that's the fishing club. This week I asked some questions to the club captains Noah Ackert and Aaron Friedman, and learned more about fishing club.
Meet the captains. Noah has been at Wooster since 6th grade. Three fun facts about him are that he loves skiing, lacrosse is his favorite sport, and his favorite food is Hawaiian barbecue chicken. This is Aaron's third year at Wooster. Three fun facts about him are that he likes dogs, he loves being outside, and his favorite color is blue.
The club was created last year because they wanted to have a bit of time during the day where they could hang out and fish. They talk about fishing or anything that is on their minds while hanging out by the stream fishing. As for what they catch in the Miry Brook, they say there are a lot of fish in there, usually large mouth bass, blue gill and rock bass. Last year, there were only around nine students, but now there are around 25. Fishing club doesn't have any major plans for the future, but if they could raise enough money from the members, they were thinking of trying to find a charter. And as of right now, the club meets at the exit bridge or outside of Wellington around 11:15am on Wednesdays.
