Game 1:
Game of the Week!
NY State of Mind (Ms. Lingenheld) VS. WIN Time (Mr. Lingenheld)
Score:
(3-1)Ms. Lingenheld-126.2 (1-3)Mr. Lingenheld- 115.86
MVP: NY State of Mind's Geno Smith (31.7 fantasy points)
LVP: WIN Time's Lamar Jackson (13.06 fantasy points)
This was probably the biggest regular season game for Ms. Lingenheld as she faced her husband, Mr. Lingenheld. Both teams needed this win, but Ms. Lingenheld came out victorious. For some reason, NY State of Mind started Geno Smith at QB. This was the best decision Ms. Lingenheld has made as he put up 31.7 points. Even with bad performances from Jonathan Taylor, George Kittle, and Christian Kirk, Ms. Lingenheld managed to win. She now has a record of 3-1 after this week.
This might have been the worst loss of the season for Mr. Lingenheld. WIN Time failed to put up a solid number of points and he now has to sit through hours of bragging from Ms. Lingenheld. It is for the best as Mr. Lingenheld is an Eagles fan which isn't good. The WR spot in WIN Time's lineup was a huge hole this week. They scored a total of 8.7 points this week which isn't going to cut it. If Mr. Lingenheld wants to win more games this season, he will need to make some trades to secure better WRs. This week has passed now and Mr. Lingenheld sits at a tough 1-3 record.
Game 2:
The Tuck Rule Fool (Mr. DeRienzo) VS. The Stanley Kupps (Ms. Thaler)
Score:
(2-2) DeRienzo-173.16 (3-1)Thaler-143.7
MVP: T.J. Hockenson (39.9 fantasy points)
LVP: Mark Andrews (3.5 fantasy points)
This was a huge win for Mr. DeRienzo. Not only did his team break free and put up 173.16 fantasy points, but he beat supposedly the best team in the league. The craziest part of this week for The Tuck Rule Fool was the fact that half of his team didn't even do that well. Three players on his team combined for 4.5 points which means that the team could have done a lot better. It is a happy week for Mr. DeRienzo and his team as they now have a record of 2-2
This was the first loss of the season for Mr. Thaler. It wasn't like her team played that badly, as they put up 143.7 points. Mr. Thaler just got unlucky with her matchup this week. I saw her not too long ago and she didn't seem that affected by the loss. She still seemed as confident as she was before. This is important to know because she is still as big of a threat as ever. Other than the lack of production from Mark Andrews, there isn't much to say. The Stanley Kupp now has a record of 3-1.
Game 3:
Puppy Bowl (Mr. Byrnes) VS. Speed Rules (Mr. Carone)
Score:
(1-3) Byrnes- 96.66 (2-2) Carone- 97.88
MVP: Speed Rules' Travis Kelce (24.2 fantasy points
LVP: Puppy Bowl's Mathew Stafford (6.76 fantasy points)
This was a very tough loss for Mr. Byrnes. This matchup was a big one as it was the Athletic Director vs. The Head of School. A lot of bragging rights were going to come out of this match and Mr. Carone came up big. Losing by 1.22 fantasy points is bad enough, but knowing that you could have won if you set your lineups makes it hurt more. Mr. Byrnes started Alvin Kamara who was ruled out before the game started. Practically any running back on his bench could have done the job and won the game for Puppy Bowl, but in the end that didn't happen. This is a valuable lesson for Mr. Byrnes as he falls to a 1-3 record.
It is a great win for Mr. Carone. Not only did he increase his record to 2-2, but he gets bragging rights over Mr. Byrnes. I saw him the other day and he was mad that he didn't get the teacher interview this week because of the win. Winning is going to happen and one win won't shape the rest of the season. It was a lucky win if anything for Speed Rules. Anyways, it is important to always be focused on next week as Mr. Carone increases his record to 2-2.
Game 4:
Antonio's Exit Plan (Mr. Swallen) VS. BKYLN's OWN (Mr. Jackson)
Score:
(0-4)Swallen-126.0 (3-1)Jackson-130.58
MVP: Deebo Samuel (24.7 fantasy points)
LVP: Tua Tagovailoa (2.4 fantasy points)
Another week, another loss for Mr. Swallen and Antonio's Exit. The team is now 0-4 after a very tough loss. Coming into Monday night, Mr. Swallen was up 126 to 106 and needed Deebo Samuel to get less than 20 points which was 100% possible. Instead of coming out of this week with a win, Deebo had 24.7 points which put Mr. Jackson in the lead, escaping an embarrassing loss. One important thing that happened for Mr. Swallen's team this week was Tua Tagovailoa getting seriously hurt. This means that Mr. Swallen will be without a QB. I ask him how he felt about this and this is what he said:
How do you feel about not having a QB?
"I do I have Rodgers"
This just shows how inexperienced Mr. Swallen is when it comes to fantasy football.
I had the guts to ask him another question:
Are you still confident in your team even though you are 0-4?
"We are what the record says we are, we're moving on to focus on 203 Orthrus. We'll be taking receipts."
There is a very famous quote that is important for this situation: "Expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed" Mr. Swallen will be expecting to win when winning is what he won't be doing. Anyways, the game is finished and Antonio's Exit Plan now has a record of 0-4.
This was close to an embarrassing loss for Mr. Jackson and BKLYN's OWN. Nobody played amazing for Mr. Jackson this week except Deebo Samuel who put up 24.7 points and gave BKYLN's OWN the win. There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. This team seems to know how to win as they increase their record to a comfortable 4-0.
Game 5:
Executive Fumbling (Mr. Newbury) VS. Austin 3:16 (Mr. Fischer)
Score:
(2-2)Newbury- 116.32 (1-3) Fischer- 189.12
MVP: Austin 3:16's Austin Ekeler (34.9 fantasy points)
LVP: Executive Fumbling's Tony Pollard (1.8 fantasy points)
There was no chance that Mr. Newbury could have one this game. Even though putting up 166 fantasy points isn't that good, it would have been hard to get to 189 which was the number to beat this week. When five players get over 20 points each on your team it is common to think that you will score a lot of points and maybe win, but the rest of the team (6 players) got a total of 20 points. This is a tough loss that Executive Fumbling will just need to move on from.
Congratulations to Mr. Fischer on getting his first win of the 2022 season. He didn't just win the game, he destroyed it. It is a good recipe for success when your team scores 190 points and Austin 3:16 did just that. No player on the team got less than 10 points. Mr. Fischer's team has always been very good, but the players just weren't performing to what they should have been. For example, Austin Ekeler had a mediocre first three games, but this week, the star running back broke out with 34.9 fantasy points. Not only did Ekeler do well, but Jared Goff (Lions QB) Played amazing as well. He played out his mind and got 33.2 fantasy points. Mr. Fischer can finally sleep well as he gets his first win in the books and now has a record of 1-3.
Game 6:
203 Orthrus (Mr. Moskowitz and Mr. Levy) VS. Sacco Squad (Mr. Sacco)
Score:
(4-0) Levy and Moskowitz- 141.66 (2-2) Sacco- 138.68
MVP: 203 Orthrus' Mike Evans (30.3 fantasy points)
LVP: Sacco Squad's Javonte Williams (3.7 fantasy points)
Another marvelous week ends up in a win for 203 Othrus. After last week, Mr. Levy and Mr. Moskowitz were the only undefeated team in the league and the team kept it that way in Week 4. The win was helped with great performances from Mike Evans and Brandin Cooks who combined for a total of around 40 fantasy points. What helped out this week was that nobody did poorly on the team as only one player got under 10 points. Without a kicker this team won with 140 points. This shows just how good 203 Orthrus is as they improve to 4-0.
Another week and another tough loss for Mr. Sacco. Not only did Sacco Squad put up 138.68 fantasy points and lose, but they lost their best running back as well. Javonte Williams, running back for the Denver Broncos, has torn his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. This team will be stranded with a bad running back core. During an interview with Mr. DeRienzo, I learned that there was a trade made before the year even started. Mr. Sacco had traded running back Rashaad Penny for TE Dawson Knox. After learning about Javonte Williams, Rashaad penny would really help out Sacco Squad now, but it is too late. Mr. Sacco now has a record of 2-2

Teacher Interview:
Featuring: Mr. DeRienzo
Q: How does it feel to give someone their first loss of the season?
A: I don't care if I win another game. The fact that I could beat Ms. Thaler especially because of the less than kind article written about me this past week about me having to change my team, I think it is a win in my book. Who wrote that article?
Q: Who did best for you this week?
A: T.J. Hockenson. It is a passing league so I knew he was going to do well. Running backs aren't as important now.
Elliot: Exactly
Q: Are you confident in your team?
A: As long as Diggs and Hill don't get hurt.
Q: What did you do differently this week to get the win?
A: I didn't really do a lot differently week to week. The only change I made from last week was because David Montgomery was hurt. I had Rashaad Penny.
I drafted three TEs because there were so many players that I knew I wouldn't get a running back, so I drafted those three TE and I traded Dawson Knox for Rashaad Penny.
Q:Would you say that your team is the best after beating Ms. Thaler?
A: No, no way it is still Ms. Thaler. I took her down so this is the happiest I will ever be.
Q: Who is your biggest rival?
A: Mr. Fischer- cause we are both new this year and we are both from the Boston area, our mutual love of the same teams goes against each other.
Q: If there had to be a loser's punishment what would it be?
A: You have to wear the General mascot uniform to school all day.
