Since the second trimester ended a week ago, the Wooster theater department has been putting on their performance of The Addams Family for the past week. The show covers the theme of love as Wednesday Addams (Alex Ancona) falls in love with Lucas Beineke (Harrison Brown), and Uncle Fester (Charlie Aspillaga) falls in love with the moon. Gomez (Will Thaler) tries to save his marriage with Morticia Addams (Alli Byrne). In the show, Lucas and his family are coming over for dinner to meet the Addams. However, the Addams and the Beineke's aren't exactly birds of the same feather.

To promote the show, the Wooster Performing Arts Instagram has been having people in the cast and crew take over the account during the week before the first show (tech week). Mrs. Simard took over the account on Friday the 18th. On Monday the 21st, the Addams family took over the account, and there have been many more takeovers as the show has gone on.

The Addams Family is an energetic, wacky, and hilarious show. "It is so fun to work on," said Alli Byrne, "we are all a little family in the cast and it is so much fun to be a part of the show."

All the actors and people in tech have worked tirelessly to make this show as great as it has become, and it really shows. There are many funny scenes, unexpected twists and turns, and great song and dance. We hope to see you at the show.

Yesterday we had a student only performance, and there were many students and faculty there. It was slightly intimidating putting on a show without a week of rehearsal, yet the performance went very well. This was the second of two student preview performances. We loved seeing many of our classmates at the show and we hope to see more this weekend.
