Alumni Links 2020-2021, Issue 1

Upcoming Dates/Events

Dear Alumni,

As we round the corner on 2020 and a successful first half of the year, we are excited to share our first volume of Alumni Links with you. With this new and digital format housed on our website, we are seeking to share more of our story with you than ever, increasingly via images and video that will bring our school and community to life. As always, if you have feedback as to what stories you would like to hear, or if you yourself would like to share a story, please don't hesitate to be in touch with us.

We hope you and everyone in your circle are well, and we wish you the best for a happy and healthy holiday season and new year.

Homecoming 2021

We continue to observe state and local government and health officials' guidelines for in-person gatherings. As such, and to celebrate the great Classes ending in "5" and "0", we are tentatively planning for a virtual Homecoming for early May. This is a beautiful time of the year: the sun is out, our foliage has returned, and campus spirit is high as we charge to the end of the year. We will of course continue to monitor conditions and be in touch with more information as we have it.

Alumni Stories

As some of you may be aware, our Development Office has begun getting in contact with alumni, both to share Wooster's present story, and also to hear yours. Partly, we're trying to identify and keep focusing on the core values, traditions, and experiences of our school. We also want to share those stories across our alumni and also with current and prospective Wooster families. While we will keep working our way through our Alumni list, if you are interested to talk and/or share a story (perhaps via video), please don't hesitate to reach out to

What's Happening at Wooster

Return to School

As you all know, school has looked different this year than in the past. That said, the foundation of Wooster endures. See below for a few snippets of how campus, community, learning, and school life remain as vibrant as ever. For more videos, and to learn about how we are being Stronger, Safer, Together on campus, see this page of our website. Keeping check our site, too, as more video content is coming to share our story!

Annual Appeal

Thank you so much to all of our Alumni who have already donated to Wooster this year. We know that this is a unique year for everyone, and our overarching philosophy with giving is to live the motto on our Wooster seal: "from each according to what one has; to each according to what one needs." If you are in a position to give and help us continue to strengthen the life-changing Wooster education, please consider a gift to our Annual Appeal. Below you will find some of our recent storytelling for Annual Appeal: our attempt to explain where Annual Appeal dollars go, why they matter, and how they help us build on the very foundations of what a Wooster education is, since 1926. Be sure to check this landing page for Annual Appeal to see more of what's happening at Wooster today. Finally, watch your email and mailboxes, and please mark the date of Wednesday, January 27, which will be our Great Day to Be a General fundraising event. More information to come soon via your mailbox, digital and snail!

WiNK (“Wooster Ink”) is our online student news publication. WiNK serves as the student voice of our community, and provides readers with a weekly overview of what's happening in our students' lives. Throughout the school year, WiNK is posted on Fridays to our website. There is perhaps no better place to find the current student voice and, from the students' eyes, the campus goings-on. Please check out what they have to say and don't hesitate to reach out and show them some love if you appreciate what they're doing!
