Recognition

Dear Wooster Community,

Here at school, where the unusual tends to be commonplace, we are fond of reminding each other that “just when you think you’ve seen it all….,” then we fill in the blank. At this point I can safely say that the second half of last year was like nothing we’ve ever seen before. As I write, the story continues. Regardless of the unexpected adversity which was thrust upon us all, our Wooster community did what we’ve all been taught here: we moved from strength to strength.

Though we made the choice of suspending our giving programs in 2019-20, we were well on our way to meeting our goals, and we have since seen a wonderful willingness on the part of community members to help others who’ve been impacted by the pandemic, and to help the school gather the resources necessary to adjust challenges involving physical space, protective equipment, and technology.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the generosity, which gives us the opportunity to continue to fulfill our mission no matter what the circumstances.
