The admission cycle begins in the fall for a February notification date. You may begin the admission process at any time, though after the February 1 application deadline, we begin rolling admissions for all applications. Financial Aid applications are accepted as early as October 24.
We hold All-School Open Houses in October and December. During the months of November through May, division specific programs for prospective students, such as Welcome Wednesdays and Take-A-Peek Tuesday are held. Please visit the Open House page to RSVP for an upcoming Admission event.

We do expect to receive a significant number of applications by February 1 of the year of entry. We may have some grades where accepted students may need to go into a waiting pool if the application for admission is not processed before February 1.

We begin accepting variable tuition applications on October 24 of the year prior to entry (for example October 24, 2018 for school year 2019-20). We require that students who receive a late February admission decision to complete and submit their variable tuition form by February 1, 2018. Click here for Variable Tuition Information.
Parents should expect to have their specific questions answered. During our meetings a walking tour of the school is included, a time to ask questions, and most importantly a time to talk about your child. As part of the Application process, there are several questions that you will answer directly about your child.
Students will visit the grade they are currently in and will be asked to participate. Additionally, there will be some time when a teacher or a member of the admission team will work one-on-one with a child. There is no special preparation needed, but do let your child know that there will be class time, some time with a teacher, and, of course, lunch and recess!
Students applying to 6th or 9th grade, who are currently either 5th or 8th graders, will visit the grade to which they are applying. Students in other grades will visit at their current grade level. After students are offered admission, students who attend a re-visit day can visit at their grade-level.
Lunch is a very important part of the school day. All students in each academic division eat lunch together in our Dining Room; Lower School visiting students will do the same. Each table has a faculty member or, in the case of the Upper School, a senior leader and faculty member. We sit at tables of about 10 faculty and students, and there are a variety of lunch options. Lunch is included in the school tuition. If your student has any allergies, please let us know in advance.

Wooster School admits students on the applicant’s admission materials and not on the family’s economic circumstances. There are instances when students are offered admission, but the school is not able to offer variable tuition to support the student’s attendance at Wooster.
Tuition includes lunch and some school materials beyond the cost of tuition. There will be textbook charges that can approach $500 for the Middle and Upper School. We will provide a textbook list around July 1 for the upcoming school year.
Students of all ages may take private instrumental or voice lessons during a free period, recess, or after school, for an additional fee. In addition, personal sports gear will be an expense for which the family will be responsible for.
In grades 8-12, there is an additional fee incurred if your student participates in football, ice hockey, or golf. Experience in these sports is required in order to participate.
