Jacob Smith '19 was recognized as the best player in Western New England Division III lacrosse with his selection as a high school All-American. This is the highest possible honor given to high school lacrosse players and only the third time in Wooster School's history.

In addition to winning the HVAL Tournament Championship, the Wooster School Varsity Boys Lacrosse team has been selected to compete in the prestigious McCoy Cup (formerly New England Small School Tournament).

In addition to winning the HVAL Tournament Championship, the Wooster School Varsity Boys Tennis team has been selected to compete in the prestigious Class C New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament Championship. Coming off their HVAL Tournament appearance, the Wooster School Varsity Girls Tennis team has been selected to compete in the prestigious Class D New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament.

In addition to winning the HVAL Tournament Championship, the Wooster School Varsity Ultimate Frisbee team has qualified to play in the First Division of the 16th Annual New England Prep School Ultimate League (NEPSUL) Championships.

It is post season time for the spring sports. Many teams start their Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) Tournaments today with championship games later this week. Good luck Generals!

Wooster School's athletic celebrations are a unique experience. The athletics department continues to seek ways to balance the "team" experience with that of the "individual." Finding room for student-athletes, coaches, and parents to reflect and share their favorite memories is a community and team building exercise and one that we feel is important to the success of our program.

The boys team is the #4 seed and will host #5 seed Storm King School on Wednesday, February 27 at 4:30 pm in the Forever Young Gymnasium. The girls team is the #6 seed and will travel to #3 seed Lexington Christian Academy on Wednesday, February 27 at 4:00 pm.

After 26 years of unrivaled success as the Wooster School Girls Varsity Basketball coach, Dave MacNutt will be stepping down at the end of this season. We are grateful to Coach MacNutt for having maintained a program that has exemplified all that the school stands for in terms of athletics: sportsmanship, teamwork, relationships, cooperation, and hard work.

Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Basketball will be participating in the Housatonic Valley Athletic League Tournament this upcoming week. The boys team is the #1 seed for the fourth consecutive year and the girls team is the #2 seed, in each team's tournament.
